Kojima Productions presentó un nuevo trailer de Death Stranding durante los The Game Awards 2016. El cual se está ejecutando en un nuevo motor en tiempo real en una PlayStation 4 Pro.
En el trailer podemos ver que Mads Mikkelsen se unirá a Norman Reedus en el elenco de personajes. También se puede ver a un personaje que se parece a Guillermo del Toro pero no está confirmado oficialmente.
